Sonnentag =freies tag

Hey everybody. Sorry for the lack of updates. We have been having such a great time on tour that we haven't had the time to update here.

Thursday we were at the Ikuwo in Greifswald. A lovely place where we've played twice before. The crowd were amazing as always and got treated to some brand new songs we made the same day.
Afterwards we were invited to a secret "beard party" at another venue. Everyone had to have a beard or mustache to get in, even the girls. Our beardless guitar player had to be creative and taped his pony tail to his upper lip to make it look like an amazing mustache. Something I really wished we'd taken a picture of.

Friday night we were in Schwerin. The venue was the amazing fish restaurant down by the lake called Angler II, where we also played last year. And just like last year, the place was sold out. A fantastic crowd with lots of familiar faces and by the end of the show every single person was dancing. So much fun for us in the band, inspiring us to make up new music on the spot.

Yesterday saw us travelling for the first time to the town of Braunschweig, which we were amused to discover translates to "brown silence". Mysterious and poetic name indeed.
The venue was a cozy little place called Eusebia and the crowd was a little shy at first. They told us that they don't get a lot of live bands but that they really liked it. After we had finished and played almost all of our songs the crowd convinced us to do another set. We agreed, on the condition that everybody dance. Turns out they could really shake it. All in all a nice night.

Now it's sunday and we are now staying with our lovely hosts Ralf and Nadine and enjoying our first day off at their great, beautiful house outside of Braunschweig. Behind the house there's a huge field and as I'm writing this, trombonist Johan is out there practicing. A lovely experience while the rest of us are sitting on the veranda enjoying the sunshine.
